<title>Change your timezone</title>

<steps>
 <item>
 Open the <gui xref="shell-introduction#activities">Activities</gui> overview and
 start typing <gui>Settings</gui>.

 Click on <gui>Settings</gui>.
 </item>
 <item>
 Click <gui>Details</gui> in the sidebar.
 </item>
 <item>
 Click <gui>Date & Time</gui> in the sidebar to open the panel.

 If you have the <gui>Automatic Time Zone</gui> switch set to on, your
 time zone should update automatically if you have an internet
 connection and the <link xref="privacy-location">location services
 feature</link> is enabled. To update your time zone manually, set this to
 off.

 Click <gui>Time Zone</gui>, then select your location on the map or
 search for your current city.

The time will be updated automatically when you select a different
 location. You may also wish to <link xref="clock-set">set the clock
 manually</link>.
